Welcome!

A quick trick for research

Hi again!

I know that I've been talking about research SO much lately, but it's what I've been working on! This week I thought I'd share a simple, easy trick that's been helping me take in a LOT of research in a very short amount of time, without burning myself out too much!

I've been researching several types of animals, tree care, soap making, farming in general, and other related topics. I have not been researching them all simultaneously, but tackling one project at a time, (IE. all goat research in one giant block, all sheep research in a different block.)

As I've said before, I'm mostly focusing my research on video form, as I think that's better for animals and physical work. So, I pull up all the videos I'm interested in, on one topic, and; this is where my trick comes in, and yeah, it's nothing terrifically original, but it has helped me so much. I've been plotting out how much time it's going to take to get through each topic; individually adding up all the various lengths of the videos (with rough numbers and always rounding up never down!) and decide how long I want to dedicate to each subject.

An example of this is horses, my next subject. All in all, I have about six hours of research on horses to do. I'd rather not commit to more than two weeks on this subject, but, as I've got some life stuff coming up, I also don't want to do a full hour of research each day. So, I can do forty-five minutes a day, without any strain, and I'll finish in time easily! All that's left for me to do, is watch some videos!

That's it! What tricks do you use to simplify the research process?

Have a great day, and keep writing!
