Hello again!
This week, I planned to make a post following one week of editing.... but if I'm honest, this week has not been my best editing-wise, and I didn't really want to post it. So, in lieu of that, I've decided to make a fun, silly post about the different writing personalities I go through on a regular basis!
So, without any further ado, let's get to it!
1. Aesthetic writer
- Special keyboard
- Dedicated music
- Maybe some scented candles
- A little bit of a ham
- *Feelings*
- Everything must be "just-so"
2. Hot mess writer
- Two-plus cups of caffeine
- Can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing
- No focus
- All the ideas as soon as I turn off the computer
- Must find the *muse*
- Just a five-minute break...
- All the memes
3. Sick/ Chronic pain writer
- All the orange juice and vitamin C
- Heat pads
- Neck pillows
- Lap desk and cushions
- Bit of a martyr complex
- Tissues
- Probably have to edit everything later anyways
4. All-together writer
- Clean desk
- Clear focus
- Notes are perfectly organized
- Must get work done
- Probably cleaning up after the hot-mess or absentee writer
- No time for crap
5. Imposter syndrome writer
- Self-pity
- Easily set off
- Always hiding in the corner
- *What's the point?*
- 0 motivation
6. Pet parent writer
- Cat on the keyboard
- Cat scratching the chair
- Cat snoozing in his nest too cutely to be ignored
- Cat begging for attention
- My life is dictated by his whims
- Only writes small sentences at a time
- 0% personal accountability
7. Absentee writer
- When's the last time I worked on my book?
- Pretending to ignore deadlines
- Guilt all the time
- Will write as soon as I'm done with this...
- Scrubbing windowsills to avoid book
- Probably supposed to be editing
That's about it for this week. Which writing personality do you see in yourself most often? Share it below!
Have a great day, and keep writing!
