Notes and notes and notes

Hello again!

So... I have a confession to make... I am TERRIBLE at keeping my notes organized! I genuinely have notes for my current WIP scattered across more than three different documents and two Pinterest boards, not to mention my paper notes from Sheepish Beginnings!

Now, while I'm still working on cleaning up my notes, (such as building a comprehensive character list with physical traits and basic personalities) I have picked up a few basic tricks that I'd like to share with you!  

1. Take advantage of headings and document outlines.

Formatting my notes has saved me so much time! Rather than endlessly scrolling through pages and pages of random notes, I now just pull up the heading I need and get the details right away.

2. Keep just enough separate documents.

I wish I was better at this! There is a delicate balance between keeping a separate document for every single fact and smashing every detail into a mega document. I haven't personally found this balance quite yet, but I know that it is there. 

3. Notes don't have to just be notes!

Those Pinterest boards I mentioned? They are, by far, my FAVORITE notes! Combining photos with personal notes has been making note-keeping so much less tedious for me!

To end, I just want to say... please keep your notes organized. It will make all the difference.
