As you probably know, I deliberately take one post per month to celebrate the little (or not so little) things that are going on in my writing, editing, proofing, and author life. So, even when everything seems to be at a standstill, I still take this time to see how far I've come in the last month.
For this month's post, I actually have a very exciting update to share... I AM EDITING!!! As of writing this post, I'm about 2/3 of the way through editing the first chapter of my WIP, (planning to finish the chapter before the day is through.)
Now, I wish I could say this meant I knew when the book was going to be finished... but I don't. I'm going to need to get a little farther in my editing before I'm comfortable saying how long this is going to take.
I do have a tentative release date in mind, but unfortunately, I am nowhere near confident enough to share it yet. (But I feel it's safe to say, there is basically no chance that I'll be releasing this one until next year.)
To end on a positive note, however, I'll share a little behind-the-scenes info. All in all, easily more than half of the changes I have to make in this edit, are quite small, (such as individual sentences that need to be rephrased, or small details that were changed.) Considering how many times I changed the timeline of this book that is incredible and a huge blessing.
So... that's it for me for this post. But what about you? What little (or not so little) things are you proud of this month? Feel free to share, so we can celebrate together!
Have a great day, and keep writing!
