Hello once again!
I've said before that I take breaks after publishing my books, and as I JUST published Memory's Terminus, finishing not only a book but a series. As such, you would be correct in assuming I'm on a break... but what does that mean? Let's talk about that this week!
So, I was planning on taking a week off from any sort of writing, including social media, so before I started my week off, I prepped all the social media and promos I would need, and scheduled those for which it was possible. I was also in the midst of a Facebook fast, so I only hopped in when it was necessary to post promos, before jumping back out.
It turns out that it's pretty lucky I took that week off, as I developed a bad cold, and likely would have needed to take a little time off anyways.
I had planned to take the next week (this week) as a sort of soft-start to my next several projects (you'll hear about them soon enough!) with research, social media posting, blogging, etc... I obviously hadn't planned on getting sick, which did take away from my mini writing vacation a little, so I'll also be taking a little more time off, just having fun than I had anticipated.
A fun aside? It's my "kitten's" second birthday on Saturday! The perfect end to my writing vacation.
That's my time off. What do you do to celebrate when you publish a book?
Have a great day, and keep writing!
