I try to keep my posts pretty light in general, but the truth is that writing is hard, and quite often I'm afraid my posts may be a little too intense. Writing is hard, but I never want to turn anyone away from it, just to make sure everyone knows that it isn't always a walk in the park, today though, I'm going to work on focusing on the positives.
Writing is an incredible gift that anyone on earth can use. I truly and deeply believe that everyone on earth has a story, deep down, that they want to share, and everyone should have the chance to do so. Some paint, some keep YouTube channels, others keep blogs, but I, (and I assume you, as you are reading this) write. What an incredible way to spend our time.
It's pretty easy to get caught up in the writer's block of a first draft, the commas of editing, or the imposter's syndrome of the Beta reading process. But it's the writing that keeps us coming back.
Some writers love the worldbuilding, some the character work, others the dialogue or the action scenes, some writers even love the editing, and I stand in awe of their passion. But the point is to keep your eyes on the prize, keep finding passion in your passion, even when it gets hard.
Congrats to you, fellow writer, no matter your passion or area of expertise, you are doing hard, incredible work. And I salute you.
