Hello again, and welcome to the never-ending chronicles of a researcher... I mean author.
Seriously, how much research does it take to write a book?! Sometimes, I feel as though I spend more time researching than writing or editing, and quite frankly, that may be accurate in those moments.
I've already shared several tricks for researching, and sites that I prefer for simple fact-finding in the past, (try looking up "research" or "author toolkit" in the search bar if you missed them.) With this in mind, today I thought I'd share a simple encouragement; keep researching!
"That's it? Just keep researching?"
Pretty much. After all, if you spend half as much time researching as I do, then you must know how important it is, so I won't bother trying to convince you of that. And if you've read a fair handful of books, I feel I can safely assume you know that many other writers don't seem to burden themselves with too much research, (not that it is equally necessary for every genre, nor that every type of book needs to be deeply researched ahead of time.) Yet, you do it anyway, so clearly you feel that it is worth the hard work, even if it's difficult to remember that at times.
So, yes. I am simply encouraging you to keep up the good work, because a properly researched book is a precious treasure, even if it is hard-earned.
Have a great day, and keep writing!
