One simple thing...?

Hello again!

This week, I thought it might be fun to recount a rather... odd writing incident from last month. 

So... I figured I'd have a nice normal day. I was going to write this a relatively simple scene, with Emma getting dressed for an event, and thinking about how her life has changed since moving to the farm. 

But then, I realized I didn't know if the event was formal, semi-formal, or otherwise. Okay, no issue, just pick one. But then again... it really does make a difference to the event, so... I should probably decide what the actual event is going to look like.

Okay, now I'm a party planner. What kind of themes are common for this kind of party? After some research, I decided it would be fun if it was a fully-customized themed event.

Cute idea, right? But... I'm a pantser, so I don't know enough backstory to properly customize the party. So, I proceeded to spend the next two solid days establishing backstory and planning a party. 

And all this happened because I wanted to write a little scene where Emma was getting ready and thinking about her changed fate. Yeah, writing is weird.
