Organize the notes!

Hello again, and welcome to another letter to myself. But please, feel free to read along!

Dear editing brain,

I know you're eager to get started with that edit, be it the first draft, or the first post-Beta edit, but please, I BEG YOU to organize the notes first! It won't take as long as you think, and if you just turn on some music, it won't be as tedious as you fear, but it will save us all some valuable time in the long run.

Yes, I'm afraid this means you will actually have to make a full(ish) list of notes ahead of time, and I know that sounds like a lot of work. Try thinking of it this way instead: would you rather do more work at the beginning of this process or do MORE rounds of editing later on? Yeah, me too. So, let's get those notes organized, so we can get this book edited!
