Hello again!
Today, I thought I'd do something a little odd. I have a thousand little stories, poems, and quotes that I keep hidden away, ones I've never shown anyone before. Just like any other writer. But today, I thought I'd share one.
I wrote this in 2019, and I've only lightly edited it since then. But I honestly feel every single line of it right now. And I hope it speaks to you too.
When we reach a place where the beautiful scorn the blind because they can’t see.
Or singers and musicians scorn the Deaf because they can’t hear.
Or scholars scorn the unlearned because they can’t understand…
I can only hope and pray, that LOVE will somehow find its way.
I wish we could somehow find a place on Earth,
Where we could grow, both in maturity and in love.
Where we could kindly speak our quarrels to those with whom we have them.
Where we were all willing to defend each other, but would never need to.
I wish there was a way to change people,
I know that God can,
But what I wish is that I could wake up
To find that love,
Like a plague,
Has infected the whole world.
I guess you could say;
I’m yearning for perfection,
I’m yearning for Heaven,
But I’m stuck here, on Earth.
Yet, there must be a reason I’m here,
I pray that God will show me the way,
To my path, and to help ease some pain,
On this broken earth.
Have a great day, and keep writing!
