Hello again!
As I'm certain you caught, this is another week of the little things, and though I know the title of this post probably looks like the lead-up to a humble brag, I swear it is not.
I have some awesome things to celebrate this month, I have finished my second full edit of my WIP and just look at these stats- That is certainly something to celebrate right?! No humble brag here, just good old-fashioned pride in my work. BUT these awesome advancements are NOT what my title was referring to.Actually, I have done relatively little editing on my manuscript for the last two weeks or so, as I've been working on learning and relearning about how I can best represent people of different backgrounds from me in my writing. I only really started editing again, in any capacity yesterday (as of writing this post.) And even then, I only added a couple hundred words or so.
But I didn't need to add a ton, what I needed to do, was take a few days away from my keyboard, and put that time into researching instead. Humble brag? No, I should have done all this research before; it should be ongoing. But, the "little things" I've been working on lately, were catch-up and that is the actual truth.
Have a great day, and keep writing!
